Ponting didn't bowl much in his career which was full of batting records. But when he did, he made sure that people remember it. He did bowl in his last test too.
In the 2004 Border- Gavaskar series, he did bowl and almost came close to take a wicket. He bowled a gem of late inswinger to Rahul Dravid which hit hi, on pads. He looked plumbed from naked eyes but was lucky not be given out by the umpire.

Ponting is regarded as one of the finest batsamn world produced. But he did some bowling too. he bowled some 100 overs and took 5 wickets,including the wicket of Lara. In 2001 Border-Gavaskar trophy test at Chennai, he almost took the wicket of Dravid
